VM Digital, an Axiata Digital subsidiary, is looking for a strong Lead Backend Engineer to join our technology team. We are creating an exciting app which will cater towards enhancing the digital lifestyle of our customers over a state of the art communications and commerce platform.  This person will have an opportunity to lead all aspects of the backend development while working in a fun fast-paced and rapid growth startup environment.

 

What you will do

• Collaborate with the cross-functional development team to define and design the app
• Design, implement, test and own all the backend application and AWS infrastructure
• Manages, operates and support the service after launch

 

Who we are looking for

• 4+ years of experience doing hands-on software development
• 2+ years of experience with Java
• Strong object oriented design and working knowledge of data structure and algorithms
• Experience with RDBMS and SQL
• Familiar with threading and concurrency concepts
• Good understanding of distributed systems, networking and security
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Positive can-do attitude

 

     Bonus if you also have an experience in

• Spring/Hibernate
• AWS

• CI/CD
• Automate integration testing
