#Responsibilities

Microsoft Services is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure (IAAS)/Azure Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will engage in helping guide our Enterprise customers with architecture, design, and implementation of Azure-based IaaS solutions, while helping to rapidly grow our Azure solution delivery capabilities across our business. You should exude passion and technical competence, backed up by a portfolio of successful technical services delivery in complex and challenging environments. As a Consultant, you will develop innovative and enterprise-scale solutions, demonstrating deep technical expertise and insights around Microsoft cloud architecture and solutions. You will engage with senior-level technical and business decision makers, focusing on empowering our customers to successfully pursue their digital transformations and realize high-value business outcomes.

As a Microsoft consultant, you will deliver quality engagements with your expertise, either as an advisor, workshop, troubleshooting, design, planning, assessment, reviewer or resource in high profile projects to ensure customer value. The ideal candidate must have the ability to combine their technical skills, creativity and customer focus to deliver great solutions to the customers and ensure they get the best out of our technologies and solutions. Person in this position should be able to focus on deep experience with technologies and design.

#Qualifications

• You should 5+ years relevant technical consulting experience.

• You should have a BS/BA degree or 5+ years additional work experience

• You should have the ability to be an integral member of a high-impact delivery team and to expertly represent Microsoft in challenging customer environments.

• You need good technical writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal partners, customer managers and executives on technical and business issues.

• You should be able to manage multiple complex engagements, effectively manage ambiguity, and resolve problems with customer designs and solutions.

• Good interpersonal, time management, presentation, process management and teamwork skills are all necessary.

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:

o Successfully designed and deployed private, public and/or hybrid cloud solutions

o Effective teamwork across large, diverse solution delivery teams

o Datacenter virtualization and management experience

o An understanding of core networking, storage, compute and security concepts

o Demonstrable ability to harvest and/or re-use IP on customer projects

o Experience giving presentations to technical and executive audiences, explaining cloud infrastructure solution concepts and benefits

Technical Knowledge & Experience:

o Core Microsoft cloud infrastructure skills required: Microsoft Azure, Windows Server Hyper-V, Windows Azure Pack/Azure Stack, Azure Site Recovery, Microsoft Windows Server.

o Additional skills desired: Production workload migrations to the cloud/Azure

o Azure Dev/Test environment infrastructure design and implementation.

o Container technologies (Docker, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.)

o Microsoft System Center components (including Virtual Machine Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, Orchestrator, etc.)

o Knowledge of private, public and hybrid cloud configurations, patterns, and practices

o Working knowledge of scripting and automation technologies (PowerShell, Orchestrator runbook development, Azure automation, DSC, etc.)

o Knowledge/awareness of non-Microsoft cloud technologies

o Understanding of ITIL and MOF operational processes
