What you will do

Responsible for SAP application development and leading design and best practices for other SAP developers to follow. Working individual or as a part of a developer enablement team to deliver developer tools, best practices to SAP developer community.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & pioneer latest SAP technology
• Provide recommendation to the organization, considering pros & cons from various aspects
• Develop, document & promote best practices for application development on SAP technology stacks
• Develop & deliver technical trainings and knowledge sharing sessions to SAP developer communities
• Lead Proof-of-Concept (PoC) activities e.g. new development tools, Services interface between systems
• Provide technical consultation to other SAP developers, Business Analysts & Architects on recommended SAP technology
• Develop, document & promote best practices for application development on SAP technology stacks
• Design and develop SAP solutions for a global Oil and Gas company

About you

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or IT-related fields
• At least 3-year experience in working with SAP development technology: ABAP Programming Language, SAP Enhancement & User Exits, ALE/IDOC/RFC Technology, SAP Fiori, SAP OData Development, SAP HANA CDS
• Adhere to good practices in software development (Clean code, modularization, object-oriented design)
• Passionate in learning new development practices & technology
• Be able to translate & communicate technical language to non-technical people effectively and vice-versa
• Be able to navigate, lead and drive changes in an enterprise-scale organization
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Fluent in English: TOEIC 750+, TOEFL iBT 98+, or IELTS 6.5+

Skills and Experiences That Will Be a Plus

• Experienced in Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Experienced in modern SAP development practices (RAP, Key-user Extensibility, Fiori, etc.)
• Experienced in modern non-SAP development e.g. React, node.JS, .NET, CI/CD etc.  
• Experienced in application development on cloud platform e.g., Azure
• Knowledge of Agile Software development methodologies, application architectural design, implementation, change management and product lifecycle (e.g. DevOps practices)
