BACKYARD – Senior Frontend Engineer

Backyard is a young, dynamic and fast-growing technology startup with pre-series-A funding. We are specialized in “Marketing Analytics” and currently moving into “Big Data” and Artificial Intelligence (AI). We gather and analyze big data such as text / voices / customer engagement activities from “External Data” and “Internal Data” through Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing technologies. We provide the most up to date technology and accuracy of analytics information in web-based dashboard that leverages the performance of Customer Sales & Marketing function including PR, CRM, Campaign Planning & Management, Product Development, Digital and Online Marketing and etc. Moving into the next phase of the most exciting technologies, Backyard is expanding and growing our team in order to efficiently serve our large enterprise clientele.

 

What you will do:

• Work with our customers to solve their sales and marketing problems
• Work with product owner to create the products that improve customers sales and marketing capability
• Architect front-end components with various technologies that drive complex web applications
• Learn about JavaScript, Webpack, Vue.js, and various fast-moving front-end technologies

What you must have:

• 5 years of software development experience
• Strong JavaScript understanding (“this” keyword, anonymous function, JSON)
• Strong HTTP understanding (HTTP verbs, response status)
• Strong knowledge of Distributed Version Control Software (git, hg)
• Strong UX and design sensibilities

What you may have (as a plus):

• Knowledge of JavaScript testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha)
• Knowledge in any Component-Based JavaScript Frameworks (Vue.js, React)
• Knowledge of CSS frameworks (Bootstrap)
• Knowledge of Front-End Build Tools (Grunt, Gulp, Webpack)
• Basic understanding of Back-End Technologies
